Our Spaces

Main Hall

We know that first impressions count, and you will not be disappointed on arrival at our Main Hall. With double-height ceilings, Georgian period features, and an original pulpit, it is brimming with character out of every corner. This is the perfect location to ease into your day and enjoy a champagne reception. For us, the ceremony is the most important part, and we here at the globe can offer a truly unique space that is both modern and quirky in appearance yet deeply rooted in vintage architecture. Overlooking the Main Hall is the Upper Gallery, providing a quieter area for guests to relax or additional seating for your reception. The Globe space is massively versitle, and can not only provide ample dancing space for you and your guests, but also supply projecters and a large blackboard to help decorate the space to fit your vision.

Lower Gallery

In addition to the Main Hall, we have the Lower Gallery, a spacious room with flag-stoned floor that is wonderfully dressed with vintage furniture and contemporary art. It is a flexible space, offering coziness for guests or being available for festivities into the night. Want a separate space for dancing and mingling? This underground area is the perfect size and has the perfect feel to make your wedding extra chic.

Garden Area

We also have our Globe Garden - a real hidden gem of the town. The garden allows the romance and originality of your wedding to continue outdoors. The Globe Gardens is an ideal space for arrival drinks, marquees, barbecues, or even games for the guests. We can arrange teepee tents or marquees of your choice and a selection of seating and ambient lighting to make it the perfect spot to relax with your family and friends. Out the way of the cluster and kerfuffle of the road, the garden still provides lots of privacy and intimacy for the happy couple and their guests.

Accommodation

The Globe at Hay has its own self-catering cottage, Small Brook Cottage, just through the garden, a stone's throw away. With three bedrooms, there is room for up to six wedding guests to find a little piece of rustic bliss in one of the UK's most desirable towns. The cottage has been renovated to maintain the original period features whilst bringing the utilities into the 21st century. Think roll-top baths, roaring log fires, and tasteful, period interior design. See our inspire me page for pictures.
