boci is a Bristol based violinist and songwriter creating genre-bending contemporary folk. Her use of violin loops, synths and effects pedals allows her to create cinematic, layered textures which evolve into dynamic multi-instrument arrangements. boci is known for her arresting, crystal clear vocals and emotive delivery. Classically trained, boci uses her violin freely and expressively as another voice, taking inspiration from folk playing styles. boci's music is deeply connected to her relationship with the natural world and time spent walking in the mountains of Scotland, Wales and the Lake District.
After the release of her critically acclaimed debut album we are each other, this will set us free in 2022, boci has played three UK headline tours (selling out multiple venues) and has received support from BBC 6 music, BBC introducing and Songlines Magazine.
Her recently released album scenes from uniXia (30.05.25) steps into a bold, maximalist musical vision set in a faraway world. Drawing inspiration from ancient myths and existential quests, the album weaves a tapestry of musical narratives that traverse the landscapes of loss, rebirth and transformation.
